Course description: The Heartsaver CPR/AED course is designed to teach the lay rescuer how to recognize the warning signs of a heart attack or stroke and how to effectively perform CPR on a patient who is in full cardiac arrest and how to effectively utilize the AED. You will also learn how to recognize and treat an adult, child or infant that is choking.
 

Who should take this course: Everybody who is not a healthcare professional should take this course (Healthcare professionals should take the BLS for Healthcare Providers course). Examples include teachers, daycare providers, personal trainers, retail or grocery clerks, airline personnel, security guards, industrial personnel, lifeguards...

 Approximately 3 hours

Written/Practical test:
 None


Course fee:

·         Pre-scheduled course for individuals or small groups of 4-14 people:

o   $35 without textbook

o   $50 with textbook 

·         Groups of more than 15 people: Call for quote 

·         Private individual course: Call for quote


Certification obtained:
Heartsaver CPR/AED card- Valid for 2 years


Location:

·         Group classes are provided on-site at your location

·         Pre-scheduled classes held at the Olathe Medical Arts Building.
