FAQs

How do I register for a class?

If you are an individual looking for a class, you can click on the course calendar and find a class that works with your schedule. If you would like to schedule a group or private class, call or email us directly to schedule your course.

When is my tuition payment due?

Payment for all courses must be received at least 10 days prior to the start of the course to avoid course cancellation. If you schedule a class within 10 days of the course date, tuition is due at the time you schedule your course. Tuition payments can be made by cash, check, money order. Payments can also be made by credit card by calling FirstLine CPR directly. Checks should be made out to FirstLine CPR.

What is your cancelation and refund policy?

Although we do not offer refunds, we understand that things come up that require you to miss or reschedule a class. If you call FirstLine CPR at least 72 hours prior to the start date, you can reschedule your group or individual course without paying a reschedule fee. If you cancel or reschedule your course with less than 72 hour notice, there will be a reschedule fee equal to 25% of the total tuition. All rescheduled courses must be attended and completed within 4 weeks of the initial course date.

If you do not show up for your class and you do not contact FirstLine CPR at least an hour prior to the start time of your class, you will forfeit your tuition and will not be allowed to reschedule your course without signing up for a new class and paying the full tuition.

What if I am late?

Classes begin on time. Arriving late to class not only distracts the class and the instructor, you will miss important information necessary for successful course completion. If you are late, you may be asked to reschedule your class and will be assessed the 25% reschedule fee.

Can I attend class if I am sick?

Please don't. To avoid getting the others in the class sick, please do not attend class until you have been fever-free for 24 hours.

What should I wear?

This is a hands-on course. Since patients in full cardiac arrest are normally found on the floor, CPR skills will normally be performed on the floor. Wear something comfortable, but please avoid wearing shirts with loose/wide necks.

What should I do if my medical condition prevents me from performing certain skills during the class?

Please contact FirstLine CPR prior to the class so we can make proper accommodations for you.

Can I bring my children to the class?

We do not have an age restriction for students enrolled in the class. Since we do not offer daycare, if your children are not enrolled, please do not bring them.

When will I receive my certification card?

You will normally receive your card upon completion of the course. There may be times that we will mail them to you usually within 10 business days of course completion.

What happens if I lose my card?

Please don't lose your card. If it does get lost, you can contact us for a replacement. There is a $10 charge to re-issue you a new card.

I have some other questions. How do I get in touch with the CPR coordinator?
