Course Description: The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed to teach healthcare providers how to recognize the signs/symptoms of a heart attack, provide effective CPR and ventilation, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

Course Length: Approximately 3.5 hours
Written/Skills Exam: Must pass written & practical test to receive certification card

Certification obtained: BLS card valid for 2 years through the AHA
