Founder
& Lead Instructor

I became a paramedic in 1998 and have been teaching CPR since the mid-1990s. I still work on an ambulance in a busy 911 system in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Staying active in EMS keeps me connected to what really happens during emergencies, and I bring that real-world experience into every class I teach.

I started FirstLine CPR because I wanted to provide more than just another certification class. Over the years, I’ve developed a teaching style that is fun, interactive, and focused on real-life situations. I want people to feel comfortable asking questions, practicing the skills, and understanding why they’re doing each step, not just memorizing what comes next. My goal is for students to leave class feeling confident and to remember what to do long after the class is over.

FirstLine CPR is a Training Center with the Health & Safety Institute (HSI), and I am also an instructor with the American Heart Association (AHA). Courses from both organizations are recognized nationally.

Not all instructors are created equal. It’s your instructor that makes all the difference.
